Team Williams are calculated when it comes to their overseas purchases and King of Leogrance may just prove them right this Spring.
King of Leogrance did everything needed of him last preparation which included two close victories by 0.1L. You can’t buy determination or heart, a horse either has it or they don’t, and King of Leogrance has it in spades.
A Listed grade winner over 2500m in France, King of Leogrance has a long way to go to be considered a key cups contender with a career high Timeform Rating of 94+ well below the mark.

Normally, I wouldn’t give a horse with such a rating a second look-in, but the potential of this horse is still well unknown. King of Leogrance won his last race almost a year ago and is still relatively young in regards to the staying ranks, it appears to me that the only way is up.
Currently entered for the 1600m race at Caulfield on Saturday 17 August, keep an eye on this one as the team progress the horse over 2400m+ deeper into his prep.
